We use the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) –Physical Screen. This screen consists of 15 movements that are evaluated based on your current musculo-skeletal state and compared to healthy norms. Rotation, flexion, extension and stability are the elements tested in their relation to an optimized movement sequence for the golf swing. These are just movements and require no warm-up or extensive effort. The entire screen is completed in 7-10 minutes.
In short, this is a specifically developed physical screen for the golf swing. The TPI screen was developed over 90 individuals on the advisory board including some of the best instructors and physiologists in the golf industry Dave Phillips, Dr. Greg Rose, Dr. Tom House, Gray Cook, and Michael Boyle. The screen is conducted to identify deficits in the body that are present due to traumas (accidents, posture, repetitive injuries), thoughts (stress, anxiety, mental collapse), toxins (what you eat, what you breathe, what you drink), technique (poor learned skills, muscle patterns).
The great news is that once we identify these deficits, we can use corrective exercises and supplemental strategies ie. nutrition, mindset training, and injury rehabilitation to specifically target and improve a specific physical movement deficit. When these deficits are improved, we will be able to improve our distance, accuracy, consistency, reduce pain, and improve the longevity of our golf careers all while enjoying improved quality of life.

The core philosophy here is that we could have the greatest equipment and the best swing instruction but if our bodies have underlying imbalances or restrictions, we will not reach our true potential as a golfer.

SPEED TRAINING

Golf swing speed training uses the concept of overload and underload training called superspeed training and adapting the neurological motor program that the golfer currently has in place that produces the normal or current swing speed and with training create a faster and permanent results. The introduction of reduced weighted clubs allows the body to produce a much faster swing speed which increases the normal neuromuscular pattern. The clubs progress in weight up to the normal club weight to slightly over the normal club weight and allow the body to adapt the faster swing speed permanently as the new “normal “

Superspeed training uses a set of specifically weighted clubs that are researched based according to your current swing speed. Various swing protocol are followed to achieve optimal speed adaptation.
